Khadi design imposes vertical stripe architecture on the shawl — defined bands running the length of the cloth, creating a strong linear grid. Within and across this structure, booti motifs are placed in Sozni hand-embroidery: individually stitched forms that animate the stripes without overwhelming them. The khadi provides discipline; the booti provides life.
