Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes ITQĀSH different from other pashmina brands?

ITQĀSH is founded by the same family that supplied pashmina to Fendi in 2016. We work directly with master weavers in Kashmir — no middlemen, no machine reproduction. Every piece is authenticated by hand and carries the heritage of generations.

How long does it take to make a Kani shawl?

Between three and eighteen months, depending on the complexity of the pattern. The Kani technique involves interlocking each thread by hand using small wooden bobbins called kanis. A single square inch can take hours. There is no shortcut.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We offer free worldwide shipping on orders over €500. All pieces are insured and shipped via DHL Express with full tracking. Customs duties may apply depending on your country — we will advise you at checkout.

Can I commission a bespoke piece?

Yes. Bespoke commissions are welcome for Kani and Sozni pieces. Please contact us at hello@itqash.com with your vision — dimensions, colour palette, occasion. We will connect you directly with our master weavers to begin the process. Please allow 3–18 months for completion.

How do I authenticate my ITQĀSH piece?

Every ITQĀSH piece comes with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity, a unique weaver identification code, and a QR code linking to the artisan’s profile. The GI (Geographical Indication) tag confirms the piece was made in the Kashmir Valley under protected craft conditions.
